Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a beautiful epic Japanese role-playing game with a cinematic presentation. Its cut-scenes feel larger than life (often like watching a well-written anime movie) and include an optional original Japanese voiceover dub, giving the players the game’s original authentic form.

Bayonetta 2 is an excellent game, with fast-paced and satisfying combat, jaw-dropping animations and frankly outstanding fashion. Even better, when you purchase a physical copy of Bayonetta 2, you’ll also receive a free download code for the original game.

As much as we love Rayman, we imagine many gamers have already played it or one of the multiple remasters over the years, so perhaps some of the other Nintendo Switch deals would be a better match. This is £10 cheaper than it was last week though. You can also get the same Nintendo Switch deal with the grey version.

Playstation VR bundles are $100 off through March 3 at Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, Dell, and most other retailers. The Gran Turismo Sport bundle is down to $199.99 (not available on Amazon), Doom bundle is $299.99, and Skyrim bundle is $349.99.

The switch is incredible in terms of hardware. It’s amazing how Nintendo packed such powerful hardware, into such a small device. Switching between handheld and console mode works like a charm, without any hassles at all, and the joycons are a pleasure to use. However, I suggest you wait to buy the switch. There’s only a handful of games out right now, and even less that are worth playing. The only game that I wanted to play was Zelda, once I finished it, it felt like I had no reason to keep the switch anymore. I strongly recommend you to wait until the game library is larger, before you buy Considering how the console is sold out everywhere, it’s not worth to pay extra to buy from scalpers at this point.

The BlazBlue franchise has been a strong fighting series over the years with the latest upcoming release being BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle by development studio, Arc System Works. This time around the video game will feature 2v2 battles with a tag-in system.

Chances are you’ve played Shovel Knight on one system or another in previous years, but if you’ve yet to take the game on the go, or better yet if you’re looking to try its newest expansion pack, ‘Specter of Torment’, then the Switch is as good a place as any to satisfy your Shovel cravings.

Wonderful console! Love every second of playing this. Legend of Zelda was worth the purchase alone. Was a bit skeptical of getting it first day (managed to pre order) but Best Buy delivered on time, was very satisfied and relived. Any one on the fence about this console should get it.

Along with Yoshi, Luigi, and Peach, Mario joins forces with the Rabbids (who started life in Rayman and went on to star in their own series) to solve puzzles and and fight enemies in a world that combines elements from both franchises.

There’s a strong case to be made for why the Switch will be worth it for Nintendo devotees and casual gamers alike. The company’s long-running exclusive franchises like Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. and The Legend of Zelda are usually enough to lure Nintendo loyalists on their own, although it’s worth noting that the new Zelda game will be available for the Wii U as well. Another bonus for Nintendo fans: those who subscribe to the company’s online service will also get to play a free NES or SNES game for a month.

Despite being out for months now, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still $60 at most stores, so this Nintendo Switch bundle isn’t as overpriced as it looks. And let’s face it, with stock continuing to sell out, there’s not much incentive for stores like GameStop to knock any money off a deal like this.

Super Mario Odyssey delivers everything you’d expect from a modern Super Mario game — and so much more. It’s the first sandbox-style Super Mario flagship since 2002’s Super Mario Sunshine, and a lot has improved in that 15-year gap. Mario’s ability to take on the form of his enemies thanks to his magical companion hat Cappy adds a whole new dimension to gameplay. Mario has always been able to gain new abilities through power-ups. But the capability to fully transform into foes like Bullet Bill and others gives Mario even more tools for progressing through levels and solving puzzles. It’s this aspect that makes Odyssey feel profoundly different than any of Mario’s previous incarnations.

This is another Switch accessory that won’t be useful for many gamers, but very effectively solves a very specific problem. Don’t prop up your Nintendo Switch against a vase or another unsuitable piece of furniture. This stand will put your Switch at just the right angle for long hours of undocked gameplay. It has lots of rubber pads, prongs, and other anti-slip features to ensure it’s held in place well.

This Nintendo Switch bundle comes with a carry case that is ideal if you’re taking the Switch out of the home and it has space for game cartridges and accessories too. You’re also getting a play stand which will make it easier putting the console in a viewable position wherever you are. View this bundle at Amazon.

Easily the oldest game on this list, the original Cave Story dates back to 2004. Essentially a homemade tribute to Metroid and Castlevania, that PC version was updated for the Wii and DS in 2010, and then enhanced for the PC and 3DS under the name Cave Story+ a year later. That’s the version that came to the Switch earlier this year. The same traits that made it so great in all its previous incarnations are present in the Switch port, but with the extra benefit of being playable on both a TV and on the go. This is the kind of long, intricate, Metroid-style game that’s incredibly tough to put down, making it a perfect fit on the portable Switch.

The pre-orders are gone, and the idea of a midnight launch is a little moot when so many locations are open 24 hours anyway. But the chain has confirmed that it will have units available for walk-in customers, although we haven’t been told how many units to expect at each location.

Anyone looking for a Metroidvania game to play on the Switch while they wait for Metroid Prime 4 to arrive needs to take a look at Steamworld Dig 2. While the story is connected to Steamworld Dig, Steamworld Dig 2’s adventure can be played with no prior knowledge of what came before as the only real link are the characters involved. Steamworld Dig 2 really becomes addictive as you hunt down every upgrade you can find, along with mining resources and cashing them in back in town. If you like roguelikes and Metroidvania titles, this is an essential purchase for your Switch.

This is a nice add to my video game collection. I am enjoying the different modes this console can be played in and have taken on a trip already. The Switch is very comfortable and makes for a great gaming experience on the go.

Alas, there’s a solution: Nintendo’s carrying case and screen protector, which are, of course, sold separately. You don’t need the carrying case, but if you’re planning any amount of mobility with the Switch, it’s a must-buy.

You don’t have to be a fan of the maniacal Raving Rabbids from the Rayman universe to appreciate this game. This Super Mario and Rabbids mashup is filled with tactical turn-based battles that are surprisingly delightful and addictive. Characters like Mario and Luigi, along with Rabbids cosplaying as those familiar faces, essentially function as weaponized chess pieces during battle. To succeed, you’ll have to intelligently hop around the battlefield, finding optimal spots for dealing damage while dodging obstacles along the way. Like many games of its genre, Mario + Rabbids invites you in with levels that are easily beatable but engaging, then ratchets up the difficulty as the plot progresses.

Through Stardew Valley you’ll grow crops, tend to animals and even blossom a romance with your favourite sweetheart. It sounds uneventful, but it’s one of the most engrossing games we’ve played in years.

Let’s face it, the Zelda series was long overdue for a major change, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild offers an unparalleled sense of freedom and scale in the palm of your hand. It tells a an epic story, as glide, cook, and battle your way across a beautifully ruined version of Hyrule. There are several fighting video game titles that feature a tag-team system where players are able to go into a fight with multiple characters. During the match players will be able to switch between characters on-the-go or automatically switch to their secondary character once their starter is knocked out.

The Switch is a great deal for those who want to be able to play Nintendo games on-the-go and at home, eliminating the need to purchase a DS as well as a home system. But unless you’re impressed with the games that have already been announced, it might be worth waiting until later in the year to see which new titles are added.

Puyo Puyo Tetris combines the most iconic puzzler of all time with an adorable bubble block puzzle game to create something entirely new and unique. Including a bizarre story mode, players can choose to play rounds of Puyo Puyo, Tetris, or fusions of the two.

Out of the box, you can charge the two Joy-Con by sliding them on to the Switch tablet and then sliding the tablet into the Dock. It’s a solution if you’re putting away the console for the night, but it’s a pretty terrible solution if you’re in the middle of “Breath of the Wild” and your gamepad starts running out of juice.

Featuring battery life that can last over six hours, depending on the software and usage conditions.
