I was lucky enough to purchase this new console. (I agree with previous comments that shortage of supply is an old trick to generate demand, anyway…) The console is really well made (as usual for Nintendo) and smaller than expected. I would love to have at least a game included within the box to start without any additional expense. Based on the specs published on internet, I am also not sure that it is more powerful than the WII U (I own all Nintendo since the SNES) which might compromise its usage with future technology like VR or AI. Just my 2ct.

Nintendo Switch is a gaming console that gives you the portability of a handheld device with the power of a home gaming system. At home, Nintendo Switch rests in the Nintendo Switch Dock that connects the system to your TV and lets you play with family and friends in the comfort of your living room. By simply lifting Nintendo Switch from the dock, the system will instantly transition to portable mode, and the same great gaming experience that was being enjoyed at home can travel with you wherever you go. The mobility of Nintendo Switch is enhanced by its bright high-definition display.

Having taken literally everyone by surprise at this year’s E3, the Ubisoft-developed Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is the game nobody asked for but everybody needs to play. Boiled down to its essence, Mario + Rabbids is Xcom for the Nintendo fan. It’s a tactical turn-based strategy game dripping with charm and oozing charisma. Despite being developed by Ubisoft, it’s Nintendo to its core, with Ubisoft’s typically annoying Rabbids showing a more endearing side. Don’t let this aesthetic fool you though, it may seem like Xcom-lite, but a truly deep and tactical shooter lies at its core.

Nintendo is going to want a big line and a big party, so it’s almost guaranteed they’re going to have some systems to sell during the midnight launch, but that’s also going to be the most challenging line. If you feel like stopping by this week, however, you may be able to get a demo of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The Nintendo Switch is by far the most dissapointing Nintendo console they ever made. The lack of games is the biggest problem. There are very few games on the console and the best games , Zelda Breath of the wild and Mario Kart 8 are also available on the Wii U system which makes it even more useless. There is also many rports of problems with the stand and scratch made to the screen and problems with the controllers. I dont recommend buying this console unless you are a huge Nintendo fan.

The Nintendo Switch improves in a lot of issues that the WiiU had. It’s price is lower than other consoles in the market, but doesn’t have the a big game library yet. It functions exceptionally well as a hand-held console as well as a home console. However do not expect the graphic performance that other consoles (Ps4 pro) might give. There are some physical problems with it too. You would want to invest on a screen protector because the dock can scratch the sides of the screen if not handled with extreme care. I also recommend to read the instruction manual in this one; it is an unique console that might have problems if it is not used properly. Overall, this is a step in the right way from the WiiU but there is more improvement that can be done.

I haven’t really been a Nintendo player since the GameCube. I dabbled in the Wii but didn’t own one. The system feels and plays great. The modular design of the joy con is very cool and playing in handheld mode is an experience unrivalled by anyone. Zelda and Mario Kart are both probably the best entries in their respective franchises from my experience. Arms, Splatoon, Mario Odyssey, etc – although not yet released as of the time of this writing – all look to be of a similar high quality. Very happy to be an owner and to see Nintendo re-reach its prime.

No matter the platform, Minecraft still stands tall as one of the best games around. Years of updates, free DLC, and oodles of community feedback has polished it into a deep and infinitely replayable sandbox game that we’ll almost certainly still be playing for to come. Even better, the Switch version of Minecraft can be played multiplayer cross-platform with many other versions, making it a great bridge between playing on the go and on your couch with friends. – Tom Marks
