“best nintendo switch shooting games best nintendo switch backup battery”

Everybody with a Switch knows about Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, but there are many great games for the system beyond Nintendo’s core classics. With success comes support, and the Switch has already seen far more support from both the major third-party publishers and independent developers than the Wii U saw after its launch. The Switch’s digital eShop is full of games that you can download, and the Switch racks at most retailers already outnumber the Wii U offerings still on display. If you need help cutting through the clutter, let us point you towards the best of the best. Here are the 15 games you most need to play for the Nintendo Switch, along with 18 other honorable mentions that are all worth a download.

Looking for a cheap Nintendo Switch with at least one game? We’ve seen this bundle for less, but if the other bundles sell out, then this is a decent alternative, especially as Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is still quite new. This is available with the red/blue edition of the Nintendo Switch at Currys.

QVC (yes, the home shopping network) has the console for around $550 (£430 or AU$720) with $15 shipping. This is an inflated price, but the site does offer a payment plan, which may be a good option for those who can’t throw down all that cash at once. The site also offers a three-year warranty for an added fee.

Extremely practical device. It’s power and versatility make up for the slightly lofty expense. The switch is an entertainment machine through and through which will only become better once more games and content release during its lifespan.

Unsurprisingly, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe plays exactly like Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U. Thanks to Switch’s fantastic different form factors, multiplayer Mario Kart has literally never been as fun nor as instant. It’s 100% an essential purchase.

It would be hard to imagine running into a gamer who hasn’t played or at the very least, heard of Super Meat Boy. The video game was a massive success and a highly addicting and challenging platform title by indie developers Team Meat.

What do you hope for from a breakdancing game? If it’s a cool soundtrack, appealing comic-book style graphics and animation, and easy-to-learn dance moves, Floor Kids has you covered. Dancing is simple, but combining different moves keeps things interesting as you get better at the game. There is an unexpectedly good multiplayer mode, too.

The Nintendo Switch is now officially the fastest selling console of all time. After a sellout first year, it’s still on wishlists the world over, but it’s gradually finding its way back into the shops. Whether you’ve had yours since launch or you’re about to click in those iconic Joy-Cons for the first time, we’re here to help you find the best Switch games on the market right now.

Great console but I wish it had included at least one free game though. I was originally going to wait until Mario came out during the holiday’s to get one (and hopefully get some bundle or promotion around that time) but given the sadistic game that Nintendo likes to play with the intentional self-generated low availability, I decided to get one during Amazon Prime to avoid missing Mario Odyssey on release date.

Another good one from Nintendo Switch! The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is a randomly generated action-shooter that features rogue-like elements and heavy RPG. In this game, all you need to do is to follow Isaac on his journey to find bizarre treasures that change his form and give him supernatural powers for fighting off droves of mysterious creatures. As a player, you need to discover these secrets and fight the Isaac way to safety.

This special enhanced edition of the Wii U smash was one of the first big tests for the Switch. How would a game initially built to be played exclusively on a console strapped to a TV translate to a system made to be taken anywhere? The answer: about as well as anybody could expect. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe collected every scrap of bonus content for one of the best games of the decade, added a nostalgic return to a classic battle mode, and made all of it perfectly portable thanks to the Switch’s unique capabilities. If anybody was worried that Breath of the Wild would be a one-hit wonder for the Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gave them hope.

Take on the challenges of your modern day farmer with the North American environment, loads of farming activities, and over hundreds of acres of land. Become the farmer you wanted to be without leaving the comfort of your home for $38.

Race car driving meets soccer. Need I say more? The PlayStation 4’s most downloaded game of 2016 and one of the Xbox’s most-played games has made its way to the Nintendo Switch. The premise of Rocket League is almost painfully simple: chase down a giant ball and knock it into the goal. I say “chase down,” but nothing about a Rocket League match resembles a traditional car chase. What makes Rocket League so fun is that you’re constantly scrambling to jab the ball into the goal at any cost, which often means careening up the sides of the arena and tumbling through the air. The Switch version also has special Mario and Metroid-themed cars.

Despite being out for months now, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still $60 at most stores, so this Nintendo Switch bundle isn’t as overpriced as it looks. And let’s face it, with stock continuing to sell out, there’s not much incentive for stores like GameStop to knock any money off a deal like this.

The Joy-Con is more than just a fancy controller. In addition to the amazing configurability, the Joy-Con boasts IR sensors that detect shape, motion, and distance of objects around the player. The HD rumble technology takes vibration feedback to the next level. All told, the Joy-Con produces an immersive experience that is remarkable for the relatively low cost.

Possibly not! Remember how the Joy-Con controller splits in two? Turn them sideways and you get two basic controllers, each with their own analogue stick and face buttons – the d-pad acts as face functions on the left controller. So far we’ve seen 2K’s NBA series, Snipper Clips and Mario Kart being used this way for local multiplayer in both docked and tablet modes. So you get multiplayer functionality straight out of the box with no additional purchase required.

While Nintendo traditionally designs its flagship consoles just for at-home play, the Switch is meant to be portable as well. A tablet smaller than an iPad mini houses the system’s core technology, allowing you to take the Switch on the go or slide it into its accompanying dock for TV gaming.

Tight turns and big jumps in Fast RMX channel the best moments of F-Zero and the Wipeout series. This 60 frames-per-second racing game bundles all of the courses offered as DLC on the U version plus six new tracks. Once you wrap your head around Fast RMX’s energy transfer system, where you have to quickly swap to the same matching color of a boost pad in order to get a burst of speed, you’ll have everything you take out your competitors online and in local matches.

Splatoon 2 is one of those rare games you can play for more than a year and still not be tired of it. Many players hoped for a fast port to Switch to hit the ground running, but what we got was an impressive sequel with an all-new single-player campaign and a “season 2” multiplayer mode that took the best from the first game and expanded on it. Couple that with Salmon Run — an addictive new co-op mode — and plenty of free post-release content, and you’ve got one of the prime reasons to connect your Switch to a wifi network where and whenever you can. — Peer Schneider

So whether you’ve just grabbed the Switch and need a few pointers, or are you just looking for something new to play after conquering Zelda, you’ll find plenty of inspiration in our list of the 20 best games the Switch has to offer.

It’s nowhere near the control you get with a full-blown racing wheel, but the Joy-Con Wheel gives you a more hands-on approach to Mario Kart or other racing games, which is wonderful if your Switch is often being played by younger gamers. This set includes two wheels, so you can get right to the track with a friend or family member.

What if you want to keep playing? The sad news is, out of the box, there’s no way to play the Switch on your TV while simultaneously charging the Joy-Con. You could slide the Joy-Con onto the Switch tablet and play the console as a handheld, which will charge the controllers, but what if you want to play it on the TV?

There’s plenty to choose from on the Switch but here we’ve narrowed it down to the best. We’re constantly on the look out for the latest and greatest Switch games so keep checking back here as this list will be frequently updated.

This alternative bundle comes with the highly sought after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is packed with all the DLC content from the original version. The carry case is perfect for gamers on the go too. And don’t forget to use your steering wheel attachment! Get this offer direct from Nintendo.

The nintendo switch is awesome as a handheld and as a day-to-day home console. I have been playing Legend Of Zelda BOTW non-stop XD. Theswitch is godlike compared to the Wii U. Great decision. worth the price

That port is on the bottom, which is inaccessible when the Switch is propped up on a table with the kickstand. HORI’s $13 Compact Playstand raises the Switch up off the ground with a cutout for the charging cable so you can keep your game going while it’s juicing up. Plus, the stand collapses down flat so you can take it on the go without it taking up too much space.

Led by former Castlevania series producer, Koji Igarashi, comes the upcoming action-adventure game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The video game is in the style of Metroidvania as you explore, craft new weapons, and of course, find new armor.

Update #2: The Nintendo Switch has been out for about two weeks now, as of March 16, and systems remain hard to find. Your best bet right now is to call local retailers and ask when they expect to get restocked and how those lines will be handled.

The Joy-Con controller is actually a pair of controllers that attach to the sides the the Nintendo Switch when not in use or when playing in tablet form away from the TV. When playing the Nintendo Switch on the TV, you can remove them and play with one in each hand. The left hand gets a controller with an analogue stick and d-pad, the right hand handles the one with a second analogue and the usual A, B, X and Y face buttons. Or you and a friend can use one each in multiplayer games with the d-pad doubling up as impromptu face buttons.

Before we jump in, a quick word on criteria. The primary question this top 25 list is intended to answer is simple: “What are the 25 best games we played on this platform?” How much fun we had with the games is obviously our primary concern, but we also considered elements like longevity/staying power, influence, and innovation. Also, this list consists of games released before November 1, 2017.

If you’re a fan of detective stories then L.A. Noire is definitely worth your time, as the game tasks you with solving a number of crimes in the Homicide, Vice and Arson divisions of the LAPD. How you tackle each case though is completely up to you, with various options and outcomes possible. Interrogating witnesses or potential suspects plays a major part in the game, and determining who is telling the truth and who is lying critical to getting the job done properly. Naturally, for a Rockstar game, there is also plenty of firefights. This enhanced Switch version of the game is not only full fat and truly portable, but comes stacked with all of the game’s previously released DLC.

Not only is the look and feel similar to what exists right now for the Wii U, but the Switch Pro Controller is going to offer a bigger battery and has an NFC receiver baked in for Amiibo support. It’s also ready for motion controls as well, so $69 controller will make a solid alternative when portable as well.

Splatoon 2 is a team-based, third-person shooter where players use colored ink to attack opponents and beat goals. Players can transform into squids and navigate through the ink that splattered in order to avoid detection. Various game modes include an online and offline multiplayer Turf War battle where players must cover the entire level with ink. The game features a variety of different weapons and is just as fun and intense as the more popular shooters on the market.

The BlazBlue franchise has been a strong fighting series over the years with the latest upcoming release being BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle by development studio, Arc System Works. This time around the video game will feature 2v2 battles with a tag-in system.

The only downside to the Switch at this point, would be the lack of extra features. There are many great launch titles like Zelda and Mario Kart to enjoy, but the Nintendo eShop is pretty limited with downloadable content. Many times I found myself wishing that there was a YouTube app or Netflix, much like what the Wii U had, but there is nothing to offer at this point. I also miss the social aspect that was included in the Wii U. The MiiVerse for example, was a great way to meet other people to game with, share posts and clips of gameplay, but these are mysteriously absent from the Switch. There is a basic friends list to add people on, but not much more.

Fast RMX’s gimmick is that at any point your craft has either an orange or a blue polarity, which match with speed power-ups that are spread around the track. By switching your polarity as you race, you can maximize the benefits these power-ups bring.

Console is great, durable and extremely easy to set up. Feels like a Nintendo product and the quality expectations of it. Only downside is no Netflix or other third party app support yet. If you are not into Zelda at the moment I would suggest waiting a little for more content to be released.

Disgaea 5 Complete is just as its name suggests: a jam-packed RPG filled with a ton of stories and gameplay hours that easily make it the best on the list for its content. Disgaea 5 Complete comes with the original Disgaea 5 story along with eight bonus scenarios, seven updated fan-favorite characters and multiple classes from past Disgaea games.

Considered one of the best role-playing games of all time, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim finally comes to the Nintendo Switch, allowing for intense portable gameplay on the go. With over 200-plus Game of the Year Awards, Skyrim’s open-world adventure is one of the most immersive and brings to the Switch new features such as motion controls and items from the Legend of Zelda series.

When you open the Switch box, it feels you are about to start playing with Lego, because of all the parts that come with it. It has a door on the back which lets you slide in an HDMI cable and the power cord, both included, and some USB ports on the sides and on the back probably for future addons. I guess because it’s half portable, the Switch does not have a network adapter, and you instead have to connect wirelessly and hope your network connection isn’t bad. Or you could just buy a Nintendo Wii (U) USB network adapter to plug it in one of the back USB ports. It’s not the base that is the console; the base is basically a piece of plastic with a small part of it to display graphics on your TV and to charge your Switch. It is the tablet that is the console. There’s a flap thingy that pops open on the back of the console; it lets you place it upright, except it covers the micro-SD card slot to protect your storage. Rather unfortunate that it doesn’t come with one. The Switch can’t handle more than 25 GB of internal storage either, so long-term, you might want to invest in one of these. There is also a little spot to click game cards in, which are small enough to be swallowed by children and pets. But Nintendo coated the game cards with a non-toxic substance that makes them taste quite bitter. There are two controllers called “joy cons” with four face buttons, two shoulder buttons, two side buttons and an analog stick each. Although technically you can combine both by sliding them in the tablet or the controller grip to make it one controller with 8 face buttons and two analog sticks, as well as 4 shoulder buttons, with the side buttons covered by the rails where you slide them in. If you have big hands like me, sliding them in and out of the wrist straps in particular is quite the challenge, because the joy-cons are pretty small and will slip off your hands while you attempt this for the first time, making it difficult to get a grip and pushing multiple buttons on the controller besides the release ones. The Switch lets you jump right in to start playing games instead of wasting your time installing things. Well, if you have games then that’s nice. Sadly, that’s where the fun ends if you don’t. The Switch includes no games, not even something pre-installed. If you want a game, then Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is about the only one worth getting right now. You could’ve also bought Zelda on Wii U if you had one though. Big titles like Splatoon 2 are coming sometime, as well as remakes of golden games like Skyrim if you’ve never played them and want a chance to do so while on the go. That’s what made me get one; being able to play large single player games besides anywhere. The Switch does this well, the console is cool. It is fun to learn how to use it, and begins to click once you start using it, and actually the clicks that you hear from the controller and the console is probably the best hardware design. A good audio cue that lets you know you did something right without breaking the console. That’s essentially what best describes the Switch when you first get it; you’re pushing things, sliding things, clicking things, and putting them in from wherever you find you can. But the games, aside from Zelda, are lacking. Pros: – Small gamecards taste bad, making them child and pet-proof – Great parental controls allow for time tracking of playtime – Fun and intuitive to learn how to use, great introductory tutorial and built-in help topics – Synchronization of your Nintendo Account with your friends list across different Nintendo apps. – Easy to use interface, easy to set up, easy to plug in – Two controllers included, can be combined and be used as one, or split into two to play with a friend. A bit annoying but not the end of the world: – Tablet gets dirty quickly, no screen protector included – No network plug included, requires a

With plenty of new customisation options to help newer players get to grips, as well as added depth via new levels of drift boosting, 200cc trial modes and the all-new Battle Mode, this is an absolute must-buy for Nintendo Switch owners.

Why should you buy it? Thumper might initially remind you of something a little gentler like Audiosurf as you glide down slick, stylised pathways with electronica in your ears but don’t be deceived, this aural extravaganza requires a calm head and pitch perfect twitch reflexes. Initially your giant bug just requires a tap of A as you go over a light panel or perhaps holding a button as you crash around corners but before long you’re tapping, flying, crashing down onto the track and causing tidal waves to destroy enormous floating heads… and that’s only the beginning. Utterly unforgiving with a soundtrack that you can’t pump into you head loud enough, Thumper is a treat for the senses and potentially RSI inducing for your thumbs.

With so many people missing out on the original Mario Kart 8 on the ill-fated Wii U, it’s great to see it get another chance on the Switch and with all the DLC thrown in too (hence the ‘Deluxe’). Race on over to GameStop to take a look.

Got a Switch? If so, you’ll need Super Mario Odyssey stat. Alongside Zelda, it’s one of the absolute best reasons to have the handheld. In fact, if you don’t have the Switch, we advise running out and buying one with both of those games right now. Go on, we’ll wait.

There’s no rush or hurry in Minecraft. Kids can enjoy a nice casual game where they can build whatever they want without expensive Legos. Minecraft is only limited by the player’s imagination, generating huge random worlds where kids can build anything from little homes to gigantic cities using virtual blocks and crafting items like ladders, stairs and more.

Mario is also featured prominently in the top 10. Mario Kart 7 remains 3DS’s second-best-selling game, with 15.95 million copies sold. New Super Mario Bros. 2 caps off the top five at 11.73 million, while Super Mario 3D Land trails behind it slightly at 11.40 million.

Remember Knock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots? How about Punch-Out on the NES? Combine the two, and inject a dose of motion-controlled multiplayer mayhem, and you have Arms. The title refers to the extendable, weaponised limbs that each character packs.

Your objective is as straightforward as they come: Land the right punches and combos to knockout your opponent, while also dodging their attacks to avoid defeat.  At launch, the game had its limitations, but Nintendo has been releasing updates (including new characters) to bolster the feisty little scrapper.

Zelda is awesome, but this console does not come cheap let alone the add-ons and even games cost more…On the other hand the portability of full console game releases is at this time a unique thing within the video games marketplace. Playing a full scale Zelda title cruising on a King streetcar downtown T.O. is a crazily futuristic experience and I love it, having said that I must also say this console is in serious need of some more titles of a similar caliber to Zelda, and soon. But wait, here comes Mario Kart 8 Online…. (reaches for empty wallet)

The system has been out of stock for some time when it comes to pre-orders, but companies like Nintendo love that photo op with long lines of smiling fans waiting for their chance to buy the hardware, and we already know that some of the launch units are being held back for walk-in customers on the day of release.

This Nintendo Switch bundle comes with a carry case that is ideal if you’re taking the Switch out of the home and it has space for game cartridges and accessories too. You’re also getting a play stand which will make it easier putting the console in a viewable position wherever you are. View this bundle at Amazon.

The Switch is a smash. Nintendo’s latest system, which you can easily play at home or on the go, launched just under a year ago to instant success. It’s one of the fastest-selling consoles of all time, and its signature game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, immediately entered the conversation for best videogame ever made. After a few years in the wilderness with the Wii U, Nintendo’s now seeing a combination of critical and commercial success that it hasn’t known in over a decade.

Skyrim may be now six years old, however the Switch edition looks like it could be the absolute best version to date, with all the game’s myriad of DLC included (including a few Nintendo-themed extras), motion control added in for the console’s Joy-Con controllers, and true portable adventuring added thanks to the Switch’s ability to be taken anywhere. This classic western RPG has won more than 200 awards since its launch for a reason…

Third-party game support has been Nintendo’s Achilles heel in the past, but it’s making a big effort to change that out of the gate with the Switch. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was among the first games to be announced for the Switch back in January. Bethesda’s massive open-world adventure game may be about six years old now, but since the Switch is portable, it’s the first time you’ll be able to stay glued to the game even when you’re not at home. It also takes advantage of the Joy-Con’s motion controls for things like lock-picking and aiming and firing your bow. Such minor differences may not be enough to convince previous players to return to Skyrim on the Switch, but it’s worth considering for Nintendo loyalists who may not have had the chance to play it yet.

Along with gaming, the Switch also features parental controls allowing you to customize how your family interacts with the console and an album feature allowing gamers to take screenshots and share them to their social networks.

Switch has been selling quite well since the console debuted earlier this year; according to Nintendo’s latest earnings report, the system has sold 7.63 million units worldwide through the end of September. Nintendo also says the console is on track to outpace Wii U’s entire lifetime sales by the end of its first year on the market.

The sequel to Attack on Titan, Attack on Titan 2: Future Coordinates will be hitting the markets at some point next year. The video game will be based off the second season of the hit anime show, Attack on Titan, where players can expect to hack-and-slash away on a variety of titans.

Nobody imagined Mario and Rayman’s Raving Rabbids would make such a wonderful match. We especially didn’t expect the pairing to translate into a deep, compelling and unbelievably charming strategy title.

Puyo Puyo Tetris is without a doubt one of the best Nintendo switch games in 2018. It allows up to 4 players who decide whether to play the classic Tetris/Puyo modes in order to compete against one other or any of the game’s inventive modes that include one where a player must master both Tetris and Puyo together. This game is full of puzzle actions, and this makes it a must-have.

In Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, players lead a group of three heroes (like Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach) and four Rabbids. Each stage consists of a series of battles with turn-based gameplay, kind of like chess. The strategy turn-based action game is great for any kids and players who want to think tactically and play a game that’s a little more mature than the rest on the list. It’s not a hard game to play, but it is a hard game to master.

If you’ve ever played a Harvest Moon game, you’re already familiar with the premise of Stardew Valley. Stardew Valley is an addictive farming simulator which sees you interact with townees to the point where you can literally marry them.

ThinkGeek has 10 different Switch bundles that you can preorder, starting at around $400. Eight other preorder sets have already sold out. The bundles will become available in late August and early September.

The Disgaea series has been around for more than ten years now, and has continuously delivered fantastic unique strategy JRPG gameplay. It’s delightfully absurd at times, with its exploding penguins and crass dialogue, but that’s what makes the series so memorable. Disgaea V is the most recent, and most complete, version of Disgaea you can get, and the Switch’s portability works incredibly well with the turn-based play. It also has a ridiculous amount of things to do, too, so it’s well worth a look for RPG fans – especially if you love customizing the crap out of literally everything. – Casey DeFreitas

All of these are designed wonderfully around the Switch’s portable screen, making it perfect for popping out in the cafe or on a commute. The charming shapes you control only add to the fun, pulling off a series of ridiculous facial expressions as they contort across the screen.

Suprise! The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild earned a spot on the best Switch games list, and it might easily be the most impressive launch game of the last decade. Simply put, Breath of the Wild redefines the open world video game in a way we didn’t think was possible. By giving players a massive world to explore, and the ability to define their journey by their own terms, Nintendo has designed one of the most widely-celebrated sandbox games of this generation. It’s quite an achievement, and a game full of mystery and delectable discoveries to uncover.

As Noodle the snake you must work through a series of levels collecting remnants to open the end portal, but how you collect these items is what makes the game so fun. Using the right trigger will see Noodle slither along, with the face buttons used to help him climb higher to reach ledges, but Noodle must be supported to climb otherwise he’ll fall.

When DOOM was first announced for Nintendo Switch we were genuinely blown away. We never imagined such a bloody, demanding shooter would makes its way onto Nintendo’s console. But here it is, and despite some visual compromises, it’s a great experience.

Do what you never thought possible with Nintendo Switch. Go from single- and multi-player thrills at home, to playing the same title wherever and whenever you want. Simply attach the Joy-Con controllers to the bright, hi-def display and you’re all set. Or detach the controllers and give one to a friend for some on-the-go, local multiplayer action.

The Nintendo Switch released to a ton of hype, both good and bad, but I’ve been very happy with it since getting mine. It’s solid at what it does; convenient, portable gaming that still lets you relax in front of your big screen. This isn’t you mainstream console competitor, it isn’t going to have all the AAA titles that the Xbox and PlayStation get, but it will have the unique appeal that Nintendo always manages to bring to its brand. I bought it so that my kids could share in multiplayer games like SnipperClips and Mario Kart wherever we are, from the living room to the car, and it’s great at that.

What, the three mentions in the intro weren’t enough of a giveaway? It’s true: not only is Breath of the Wild our current pick for the best game in the world right now, but it’s also the most essential game on the Switch – one that’s singlehandedly worth buying a console for.

Shovel Knight is not a new game. It saw its first release way back in 2014 on the PC after it was funded on Kickstarter, and since then versions have appeared on everything from the Vita to the PS4, the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U.

Extremely practical device. It’s power and versatility make up for the slightly lofty expense. The switch is an entertainment machine through and through which will only become better once more games and content release during its lifespan.

By far the slickest Nintendo hardware to date. Have played Zelda for over 135 hours and not only is the game great, playing it while on the exercise bike, relaxing around the house was great as I am not tethered to the TV. The concept works as advertised. 1 star off for the barebones UI, lack of cloud saves and unknown online. But I feel like Nintendo has a winner with the Switch.

Minecraft features two gameplay options: Survival and Creative Mode. Kids who play Survival Mode will have to mine deep for resources and building materials and will be forced to fend off giant spiders, skeletons, zombies and other mobs of enemies when the sun sets. Creative Mode offers a more relaxed way of playing, giving infinite resources for players to build whatever they want on their own time at their own pace. The game also features a multiplayer mode, so kids and their friends or parents can join in on building something together.

The pre-orders were there one second, and gone the next. The online retailer has no information available about when the system will be back in stock, but the gray market will likely be happy to sell you one at a huge markup the moment they go on sale.

The pre-orders are gone, and the idea of a midnight launch is a little moot when so many locations are open 24 hours anyway. But the chain has confirmed that it will have units available for walk-in customers, although we haven’t been told how many units to expect at each location.

It’s not everyone that would have had the chance to enjoy Bayonetta 2 when it was first released back in 2014 thanks to its Wii U exclusivity. Fortunately, the game has finally come to Nintendo Switch alongside its fantastic predecessor, giving it reach it deserves.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is best with multiplayer, allowing up to four players to share the screen locally as they go head-to-head on their TV in split-screen mode. There are over 42 characters, 48 tracks and various vehicle combinations like motorcycles, providing for a definitive and full experience of a Mario Kart racing game. Best of all, kids can take their Switch out for a handheld mode adventure and play with others who have the game.

Yes and it doesn’t come with the console. But you won’t actually need one to play any games, so don’t feel pressured in to buying one. The Nintendo Switch Pro controller is a more traditional-style pad and launched alongside the Nintendo Switch. Prices aren’t cheap though, starting around $69.99/£64.99. There’s currently no sign of a Nintendo Switch Premium Edition console with one included.

It’s not everyone that would have had the chance to enjoy Bayonetta 2 when it was first released back in 2014 thanks to its Wii U exclusivity. Fortunately, the game has finally come to Nintendo Switch alongside its fantastic predecessor, giving it the reach it deserves.

Clearly spawned from a desire to recreate the magic of Wii Sports Boxing, ARMS is a peculiar fighting game with a difference. Holding a Joy-Con controller in each hand, you trade blows with a foe by literally swinging your fists. Thanks to Nintendo’s work building the Joy-Cons, it’s surprisingly accurate and – by customising your fighter’s interchangeable fists – it’s an incredibly accomplished fighter. The inclusion of same-screen, local and online multiplayer is also a nice little bonus and there’s plenty of mini-games and unlockables to keep single-player fans happy too. Nintendo also continually keep updating ARMS with new fighters while balancing its old roster so you’re never short of stuff to do.

Treasure Trove is a collection of all the Shovel Knight content developer Yacht Club games has made so far. You can start by revisiting the excellent campaigns for Shovel Knight or Plague Knight, but the best part of Treasure Trove lies in Specter of Torment, the latest Shovel Knight expansion that uses a prequel to tell the tragic story of Specter Knight. The new mechanics, levels, and bosses are some of Yacht Club’s best work in the series. And if three campaigns set in the world of Shovel Knight aren’t enough for you, Treasure Trove owners will get the upcoming King Knight expansion as a free update in the future.

Claire and Moira are knocked out and wake up in a dark and abandoned detention facility where they have to work together to find out what happened. What will they find in Resident Evil Revelations 2 for $14.

Have you played all of your Nintendo Switch games and you’re looking for a bit more fun? I know how pricey they can be, especially if you’re on a budget. Sixty dollars on a game seems a bit high, but I have found some great games currently on sale for your pleasure!

The UK scene for discounted Nintendo Switch deals is very competitive thanks to the large number of retailers trying to get your business. We usually find a strong selection of bundles every week nowadays, even in those quieter times of year not particularly known for sales. So take a look below for discounts on packages with games, hardware and accessories.

Lichtspeer takes place in a land rid with monsters, yet you are a champion who can channel the power of the Gods to take on enemies and restore balance to the universe. Grab your speer and restore your kingdom to it’s glory for just $7.

Hi I have recently decided to sell my switch only bought a couple months ago played it only a handful of times. Comes with everything in the picture and it also has a screen protector applied. It is …

I realize this is still early in the consoles life cycle but so far besides Zelda there is almost no reason to own one. No apps like Netflix, Youtube, or even a Web Browser and only a handful of games. If Zelda alone doesn’t sell you on the console you might as well wait.

Nope, this is a game that’s all about that multiplayer, where you can play with up to eight players locally or online. It’s here the game feels most at home, and for the most part its every bit as good as the classic Bombermans that have proceeded it.

While the Switch port of Pokkén Tournament DX adds a few new elements into the mix, such as a daily challenge, wireless multiplayer and a handful of extra characters, it is very much the same game as ever. So that’s a surprisingly nuanced brawler that’s as much for genre veterans as it is for anyone who fancies pummeling Pikachu’s face into an adorable mush. With a proper mainline Pokémon confirmed for Switch sometime in the not too distant future, consider Pokkén Tournament DX as a fun taster of greater things to come.

The Nintendo Switch has a list price of $300, AU$470 or £280. There’s only one color option for the console itself, but the attached Joy-Con controllers come in gray, or a more colorful option with one neon blue and one neon red.

Another way sellers are taking advantage of the imbalance in supply and demand is by offering Nintendo Switches only as part of expensive packages, perhaps with one or more games and some other extras.

Mike Andronico is an associate editor at Tom’s Guide. When he’s not writing about mobile tech and gaming, you can usually catch him playing Street Fighter, devouring Twitch streams and trying to convince people that Hawkeye is the best Avenger.

That means you have a pretty good shot of getting one as long as you’re willing to wait in line early on Friday, although I was told multiple times that they have no idea how many units each store will receive. But this is a great place to start your hunt that morning if you decide you have to have one and don’t mind waking up early.

As with any new console we imagine you’re wanting to know a bit more about the console before you put any money down. So in addition to finding the best Nintendo Switch deals, we’re going to help in answers to the burning questions.

Game all my life, Atari, nintendo(s), sega,…playstation(s). This is where Nintendo won me back. The hybrid console idea is just brilliant!! At first I was skeptical, but I absolutely love the Switch after I was able to finish Zelda Breath of the Wild (120 hours over 3 months) here, there, and everywhere. Get off work, play, cook, play, help wife, help daughter with homework, chill at in-laws and play, etc., life of a gaming dad… but the sleep mode of the Switch works flawlessly! The Switch is the only console that allows me to do that! And Zelda BOTW is the best game of its kind in years! So far I got Zelda, Arms, Splattoon2, Rabbid+Mario, and some indie games. Haven’t had so much fun since the original nintendo from 30 years ago.

I’d like to start by saying that it’s not like anything else out there in the gaming world. Nintendo has once again paved the way with a unique and fun ideas and executes it well. For people that are worried by the Wii U like tablet…there are no left-over ghosts of the Wii U here. The entire console is inside the tablet itself, which has a intensely powerful battery which gives you hours of gameplay on a high-definition screen. It’s very easy to set up the dock, which allows you to charge the tablet, but also play on a TV screen, just like any other console on the market. The beauty lies in being able to play a triple-A full console game on the TV, and then take it with you to bed, or out on the bus, or in the car etc. and still be able to continue your progress seamlessly. The Joycon Controllers are small and light, but very precise and provide excellent control. They’re unbelievably ergonomic and just feel right in your hands. They clip onto the sides of the tablet screen for off-screen play, but can easily be removed and used on their own for on-TV play.

Happen to see Best Buy had some in stock and ordered mine without any problems and received it the following week. Thank you, Best Buy. Not enough games at the moment but I bought it for Zelda and Mario for now. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is beautiful game…by far the best Zelda to date.

The Nintendo Switch is the hottest console out right now, and it’s not showing any signs of slowing down. Nintendo’s hybrid machine is home to such hits as Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Splatoon 2, all of which you can enjoy on your big TV or take on the go. And with a diverse library that includes indies like Stardew Valley and Rocket League and mature AAA romps like Doom and Bayonetta, you’ll have no trouble finding something that suits your tastes.

Give in to more third-person paintball chaos with the second iteration of Nintendo’s turf war shooter. Play as an Inkling, spraying flurries of coloured globs to take control of the battlefield and swim through ink as a squid to reload. Enter four-on-four competitive multiplayer matches with all new weapons, modes and kit and get splatting. This is a family friendly shooter is still, refreshingly, completely blood-free. And this time, it’s got jetpacks. If you’re looking for a party game and you’re all Mario Kart-ed out, this is it.

Amazon has the Switch through third-party sellers. Most of the units are going for around $350. Third-party sellers also have units at Walmart’s site, too. Switch consoles start at around $375 with various shipping charges. Overstock.com offers free shipping on consoles.

Of course, the plucky (former) plumber is headlining this list. One of numerous Switch exclusives, Super Mario Odyssey is a world-spanning extravaganza that sees you board the good ship Odyssey to track down that pesky baddie Bowser who’s kidnapped Peach…again.

Jet has the Switch for varying prices, depending on how many you buy, and free shipping. You can also find it at Chunk Toys. Its prices change from week to week, but typically the console goes for around $450 to $500. Chuck offers various shipping options.

Now, nine months later, the Switch boasts an expansive roster of impressive games that range from ports of cherished third-party releases to new Nintendo titles that are bound to be remembered as classics.

In Just Dance 2018, players select from a variety of 40-plus songs and dance to it by copying a virtual dancer on screen. You don’t have to worry about having an extra controller either, as Just Dance 2018 allows players to use their smartphone to control their movements with the Just Dance Controller app. The game features multiple modes, but most notably, there’s a multiplayer option for up to six players to all dance together at once, perfect for any slumber party.

Play your games wherever. Sounds like an easy thing to ignore, but trust me you will get used to it fast and love the fact that you can play while waiting for that lazagna you just put in the oven. At a picnic? Play Switch with your family. Fishing? Play at your own risk – but it’s possible. On a plane? Go ahead! In bed? That’s right. There isn’t an infinite library of games at the moment, but there are already good enough games that will keep you busy as newer titles arrive. Zelda is an obvious choice, but check out Shovel Knight, Fast RMX and Snake Pass on the eShop. Mario Kart is also right around the corner! Battery is fair for a device of this caliber. WiFi signal is strange, though… get an ethernet to USB adapter for online gaming when docked. You may have one from the Wii and Wii U era. I have a gaming PC but haven’t turned it on much since Switch release day. It’s amazing. I highly recommend it the console!

All of which is to say one thing: This thing isn’t meant to sit casually in a bag. It needs protection! It’s got a large screen. It’s got a ton of nooks and crannies where various detritus can get lodged. It’s got two tiny gamepad attachments (the Joy-Con) that could accidentally come off and get loose in your bag.

Through Stardew Valley you’ll grow crops, tend to animals and even blossom a romance with your favourite sweetheart. It sounds uneventful, but it’s one of the most engrossing games we’ve played in years.

Nintendo is once again home console gaming with the introduction of Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch delivers the power of a home console and the total freedom of a handheld gaming system. With Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to play rich, immersive home console games, and then bring that exact same experience on-the-go wherever and whenever you like.

For any kid that loves adventurous explorations, The Legend of Zelda: Breadth of the Wild is by far the best game on the list. The award-winning game features a beautiful humungous world in a sandbox environment where players can explore on their terms without time constraints.

Built from the ground up specifically for the Nintendo Switch, FIFA 18 provides an immersive gaming experience with a high definition presentation. Players have multiple gameplay options, allowing for offline multiplayer play with the Joy-Con controllers. There’s also single-player and even an online mode to face off other players. Multiple game modes like FIFA Ultimate Team have you creating and unlocking new characters for your fantasy soccer team, as well as in-depth Career Mode to advance to a championship and local seasons. Any kid who wants a thorough sports game experience and loves soccer will love FIFA 18.

Use voucher code: TDX-PHJ4 to save £20. Zelda is still seriously expensive on its own, so we’d advise getting it in a cheap Nintendo Switch bundle whenever possible. You’ll have to hurry though as this voucher expires February 15th.

So you’re one of the lucky gamers to get your hands on a Nintendo Switch. Like any other new gaming setup, you’ll probably want to grab some accessories to go along with it. Whether it’s a case, controller, or stand, you’ll find that just the right addition can make your Switch setup more complete.

Fire Emblem Warriors balances the Fire Emblem and Warriors universes in a way that’s sure to please fans of both series. As is the case with previous Fire Emblem games, directing your party tactfully across the battlefield is crucial for success in this game. The familiar pairing mechanic that lets you take advantage of your fellow combatant’s skills and attributes is also present in this game. Fans will appreciate the game’s History Mode, which is a set of maps based on classic Fire Emblem titles.

A wonderful-looking platformer with a clever concept. It’s based around paint that is splattered around each stage by various guns and gizmos. Each colour affects your character differently; you can climb walls covered in red paint and bounce off yellow paint, for example. Combine that with a water gun used to trigger switches and collect special gold-flaked paint for bonuses, and the result is a brilliantly creative platform game that plays like an unlikely mix between Super Meat Boy and Splatoon.

Some have dinged this one a bit (including our own review) for sticking too closely to the formula established by the Wii U original. It’s true that, at first, it can feel more like a remake than a sequel. In time though its unique attributes become more apparent, from the variety of weapons, to the new maps, to the various multiplayer modes that supplement the standard Turf War. Splatoon 2 might not break a lot of ground but it’s one of the most purely fun games to come out for any system this year.

So don’t go into this expecting a wildly different game from what you’ve played before. This is a traditional Street Fighter experience through and through, and the console’s form-factor makes it perfect for quick multiplayer sessions.

Easily the oldest game on this list, the original Cave Story dates back to 2004. Essentially a homemade tribute to Metroid and Castlevania, that PC version was updated for the Wii and DS in 2010, and then enhanced for the PC and 3DS under the name Cave Story+ a year later. That’s the version that came to the Switch earlier this year. The same traits that made it so great in all its previous incarnations are present in the Switch port, but with the extra benefit of being playable on both a TV and on the go. This is the kind of long, intricate, Metroid-style game that’s incredibly tough to put down, making it a perfect fit on the portable Switch.

The Switch isn’t just home to cutesy exclusives. For those looking for something a bit grittier outside of the Nintendo fold, there’s Bethesda’s classic open-world RPG. You play a prophesized hero tasked with battling a horde of fearsome dragons – – that’s if you don’t get distracted by the endless list of side quests.

Classified as a tactical role-playing video game, Disgaea 5 Complete is both over-the-top in its multiple strategies and hilarious story, offering hundreds of hours of content. Players can recruit new units and select over 50 jobs and classes that can be expanded upon as they level up; up to 100 characters can be displayed on the screen while in battle. The game comes included with multiple language options, with complete English and original Japanese in-game voices.

The Nintendo Switch has a list price of $300, AU$470 or £280. There’s only one color option for the console itself, but the attached Joy-Con controllers come in gray, or a more colorful option with one neon blue and one neon red.

The Switch is a great deal for those who want to be able to play Nintendo games on-the-go and at home, eliminating the need to purchase a DS as well as a home system. But unless you’re impressed with the games that have already been announced, it might be worth waiting until later in the year to see which new titles are added.

Now, nine months later, the Switch boasts an expansive roster of impressive games that range from ports of cherished third-party releases to new Nintendo titles that are bound to be remembered as classics.

Update: this was £299.99 and is promoted as such on the site, but it actually comes in at a tenner less during checkout for some reason. This is a great Nintendo Switch bundle for wrestling fans as it comes with the new WWE 2K18 title. Considering how new the game is, we’re surprised to see Argos let it go for so little. You can get this Nintendo Switch deal in grey too if your inner-Undertaker cringes at those Neon Red and Blues.

The Switch’s has amassed an excellent game lineup in less than a year, headlined by Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild and Splatoon 2 and filled out by indies and third-party hits such as Shovel Knight, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Doom and Stardew Valley.

SteamWorld Dig 2 is a textbook example of everything a sequel should be: bigger, smarter, and just straight up more fun. Guiding Dorothy through SWD 2’s labyrinthine caverns searching for loot and upgrades is a challenging and charming twist on the classic “Metroidvania” style and has a gameplay loop that will undoubtedly keep you up into the wee hours of the morning for “just one more run”. – Zachary Ryan

“There’s a moment in Super Mario Odyssey where the game distils everything it is, and everything it stands for, into a blow-out celebration. All at once the past, present and future of this grand old video game series smashes together in a freewheeling, spectacular and experimental set piece that shows that Nintendo, after years of having the handbrake on, is now absolutely flying creatively.

Your Joy-Cons don’t have a charger outside of what you get on the actual Nintendo Switch, and that can be a problem if you’ve got multiple pairs of controllers and don’t always connect them to your console. Fortunately, Orbeet makes a nice 4-in-1 charger with 2 additional USB ports for charging Pro Controllers.

Fast RMX’s gimmick is that at any point your craft has either an orange or a blue polarity, which match with speed power-ups that are spread around the track. By switching your polarity as you race, you can maximize the benefits these power-ups bring.

Gritty and rough, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a role-playing game that’s straightforward in its turned based combat, taking elements from former JRPGS of the past and modernizing it into a solid RPG experience. For anyone who wants to understand the familiarities of how role-playing games work, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a good starting point for any beginner.

One of the core benefits of the Nintendo Switch is that it’s a portable system. Of course, that means you’ll be battling against that most formidable of enemies – battery life. The Antank Portable Switch Battery case offers 6500mAh of additional charging power, which more than doubles your on-the-go play time without adding an overly significant amount of bulk or weight. It strikes the right balance between battery capacity and portability. Also, this case has enough durability that it will add in some extra protection for your Switch.

Honorable Mentions: Puyo Puyo Tetris, Fast RMX; Kamiko; Snake Pass; Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment; Blaster Master Zero; World of Goo; Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition; Gonner; Tumbleseed; Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap; Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment; Shantae: Half-Genie Hero; Doom; Skyrim; LA Noire; Xenoblade Chronicles 2; The Sexy Brutale.

I am Setsuna has a game time of about 25 hours, so you can finish it over a long weekend. It is perfect for anyone that wants to get cozy, plug in some headphones and utilize the Nintendo Switch’s handheld portability option. Its design is a marriage of old and new style, thanks to its gameplay battle system, music and art direction.

This version includes improved graphics, new courses, new characters, and some clever new functions made to help out younger or less experienced players such as “smart steering.” The game also includes an online play mode and updated battle modes.

What are the best games on Nintendo Switch? That’s a big question for any platform, and a very fun one to answer. During the process of putting together this list of Switch games, we took the following criteria into account: 1) How much fun we had at home and on the go with these games, 2) We weighed elements like longevity/staying power, influence, and innovation, 3) We opted for new games or ports with content over games that were straight ports.

A love letter to the entire history of the blue blur, Sonic Mania isn’t just fan service — it’s one of the hedgehog’s strongest outings in years. With clever remixes of old levels and dazzling new ones, Mania pays homage to every era of Sonic with some truly incredible Easter eggs. It’s hard not to get caught up in the mania. – Jonathon Dornbush

If you protect your smartphone screen, think about doing the same for your Nintendo Switch. The amFilm tempered glass screen protector offers 99.9 percent screen transparency, so there should be no interference to your view while you dive into the latest Zelda quest. It’s cheap and effective.

Tight turns and big jumps in Fast RMX channel the best moments of F-Zero and the Wipeout series. This 60 frames-per-second racing game bundles all of the courses offered as DLC on the Wii U version plus six new tracks. Once you wrap your head around Fast RMX’s energy transfer system, where you have to quickly swap to the same matching color of a boost pad in order to get a burst of speed, you’ll have everything you take out your competitors online and in local matches.

Pokken Tournament DX is like the Pokemon Stadium evolution a lot of us dreamed about as kids. On top of looking great and featuring exclusive fighters not in the arcade version, DX most importantly adds something that’s been sorely missing from Pokken: portability. 3D Pokemon fights on the go are a dream come true, and new 3v3 battles (on top of the standard 1v1) are a quick pick-up-and-play way to learn the battle system. A story mode, online battles, and the ability to pour skill points into Pokemon to increase their skills make this the definitive version of Pokken and one of the best fighting games on Switch. – Andrew Goldfarb

I couldn’t help but marvel at Gorogoa’s innovative use of space. The game’s sole developer and illustrator, Jason Roberts first conceptualized Gorogoa as a card game but later scrapped it because the mechanics were too complex. Fittingly, the simplicity of Gorogoa, with its lack of subtitles or voice acting, limited animations, and minimal use of audio, suits it well. On the screen are four panels presenting environment-based interactive puzzles that, once deciphered, will progress the story. The pictures shift and can be aligned in sequence to match up key atmospheric details, pulling off layers and overlapping others to reveal solutions and clues as the player explores and combines elements of each. Think of it as a picture book where the reader must solve a mystery hidden in the illustrations to turn each page.—Holly Green

Even so, shoppers shouldn’t anticipate Switches showing up in abundance on store shelves anytime soon. GameStop COO Tony Bartel recently said in an earnings call that new Switch shipments sell out as soon as they’re in stores, and he expects “to be chasing supply this entire year.” In other words, expect the Nintendo Switch demand to only get stronger in the back half of the year, especially as the holidays approach.

When DOOM was first announced for Nintendo Switch we were genuinely blown away. We never imagined such a bloody, demanding shooter would makes its way onto Nintendo’s console. But here it is, and despite some visual compromises, it’s a great experience.

With each person only able to do one thing at a time, and most meals requiring multiple stages of preparation, this forces you to split tasks up between you. The problem is that every task proceeds at a slightly different pace, meaning you’re constantly having to change your plans to deal with problems as they arise.

There are also a number of tracking services such as Zoolert, BrickSeek, Now in Stock, and the recently created Nintendo Switch Finder, which promise to give shoppers a heads up where and when hard-to-find toys and electronics are available. Proceed with caution, though: These services tend to be hit or miss (some people complain the notices are inaccurate or too late to be useful), and you often have to subscribe to emails to receive alerts.

If you only buy one multiplayer Switch title, make it Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. You know the drill: Choose an iconic Nintendo character, jump in a modded kart, and win at all costs. The deluxe version of the game includes new racers and battle modes, plus all those dazzling weapons and power-ups (beware the blue shell).

Some Nintendo Switch well-suited for passing the time during a quick commute to work. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is not one of those games: It’s best enjoyed when you have a substantial block of time to sink away into the game, allowing you to get lost in its sprawling world. The latest RPG entry from Monolith Soft and Nintendo follows a scavenger names Rex and his sentient weapon Pyra, as they traverse massive, living landmasses known as Titans. It’s a vast, absurd yet astonishing world that’s bound to please those who are always looking for new areas to explore.

Nintendo’s biggest Switch release of the holiday season, Super Mario Odyssey, just launched last week, though it isn’t the only major title still in store this year. Three mature titles–Doom, LA Noire, and Skyrim–all launch for the system within the span of a week in November, though as these aren’t published by Nintendo, they wouldn’t appear on these best-seller lists. The system’s next first-party title, the open-world JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2, releases on December 1.

With so many people missing out on the original Mario Kart 8 on the ill-fated Wii U, it’s great to see it get another chance on the Switch and with all the DLC thrown in too (hence the ‘Deluxe’). Race on over to GameStop to take a look.

Very happy with this console-handheld hybrid. Have not experienced any of the issues I’ve read online like left joycon syncing issues or the dock scratching. The hardware feels very good, solid and nice texture. The IU is very responsive and had very little to no friction going back to the games. Not a lot of games, but Breath of the Wild and the promise of MK8 Deluxe, Splatoon and Mario makes it very exciting.

A stylish mansion-based murder mystery in which you turn back the clock to save masked attendees of a flamboyant party from grisly deaths. The Sexy Brutale is all about piecing things together: where people go, what they do, and how you can invisibly intervene to change what happens, like removing the ammunition from a wall-mounted shotgun that’s about to be used in a confrontation. Macabre and compelling.

Wow! I just got mine today and it was awesome! But it didnt have a Gtx 1080 which i thought by now would be consumer standard by now… Overall its a very nice console, would buy again if I had the money. I really loved Nintendo’s version of GTA V and Fallout 6

What makes you think only “our enemies” are involved in the drug trade? The US has often found it convenient and expedient to ally with drug lords, your doubts notwithstanding. If there’s actually any eradication going on it’s not having much effect, as Afghanistan’s share of the world opium supply shot up pretty dramatically after the US invasion, just like it did after the US invasion of Vietnam.

It’s a neat feature, but it’s overshadowed by how technically capable this game is. It looks fantastic whether you’re playing it in portable or console mode, where it will run at a solid 60 frames per second.

So whether you’ve just grabbed the Switch and need a few pointers, or are you just looking for something new to play after conquering Zelda, you’ll find plenty of inspiration in our list of the 20 best games the Switch has to offer.

Shovel Knight is not a new game. It saw its first release way back in 2014 on the PC after it was funded on Kickstarter, and since then versions have appeared on everything from the Vita to the PS4, the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U.

Nintendo Switch’s main component is the Switch Console, a tablet-shaped device that’s packed with cutting-edge hardware. Slide the Switch Console into the Switch Dock and you’ll enjoy a complete, high-definition gaming experience on your TV.

The Nintendo Switch is by far the best gaming console for kid’s on today’s market. Nintendo has always had a brand that was loyal to families, assuring that it had more games that focused less on realism and violence, but more so on the pure fun that anyone can play.

This is a simple add-on that many gamers won’t need, but solves a very specific problem for certain Switch owners. This USB-C charging cable from Fyoung is over three feet in length, which may give you ample length to reach your connection. Its main benefit is it lets you “dock” your Switch and use it with your TV without it getting hot in the dock, but can also be used for transferring data to your Switch too. It’s just a cable, but it works quite well.

The package will include the main console, Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R) controllers, a Joy-Con grip (to which two Joy-Con are attached and used as one controller), a set of Joy-Con wrist straps, a Nintendo Switch dock (which holds the main console and connects it to a TV), a HDMI cable and an AC adapter.

Players control one main character out of a party of three in an open world environment in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The action role-playing game includes a streamlined real-time action-based combat system that requires quick decision making for utilizing each character’s abilities such as magic, healing and blunt force attacks. Players have to keep a close eye on their companions, waiting for cool down periods and opportunities to attack. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 includes a soundtrack with performances by the Bratislava Symphony Choir, giving it a more epic and emotional feel with each choreographed action scene and quest.

Who said for you to enjoy a game, you need to look at the screen? Nintendo Switch has something that will help you throw an incredible party anywhere with anyone. In this game, players look and face each other and not the screen. You and your friend or for this case, opponent, will get into real world actions like a copycat dance-off, cow-milking competitions, and wild-west duels.

Fast RMX’s gimmick is that at any point your craft has either an orange or a blue polarity, which match with speed power-ups that are spread around the track. By switching your polarity as you race, you can maximize the benefits these power-ups bring.

No console gaming experience is complete without a button-mashing romp through a destructible LEGO world, and LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 is the best on the market at the moment. Don’t let the fact that it’s a sequel put you off. This game stands a full head and shoulders higher than its (which is also awesome). The story is new. The level design is clever. And it’s got buckets of that classic tongue-in-cheek LEGO humour. Bash your way through hours of gameplay solo or with a friend.

Your hunt may not be in vain, but I also wouldn’t want to get your hopes up; Nintendo is sure to have problems meeting demand during the first day, no matter how the system does in the long term. The good news is that Nintendo is going to ship two million systems worldwide at launch, so there is always at least a slim chance you can luck into one. We’re hoping that more retailers announce availability for walk-in customers and day one allocation as we get closer to Friday’s launch.

The Switch is more proof that technology is definitively getting to the convergence of stationary and mobile. It is a very delicate balance among portability and performance, Ergonomically, the device is a huge success, I can play for hours and my hands can manage it without any issue, much more comfortable than a 3DS-XL. The joysticks and buttons are at the true minimal size to preserve functionality while ensuring compactness. Screen size is also at the right dimensions to avoid being too small and provide enough detail at 720P. I have played with it mostly on portable mode, once in a while plugged to recharge as playing. A few times played on the TV, going back quickly to portable to enjoy the opportunity to play on bed. My only major concern is the limited battery size, I wish Nintendo could just add a few extra grams and getting a more useful 4-5 hrs playing time.

The popular Super Mario adventures are referred to as platform games. This type of game genre follows a character as it runs and jumps in its digital environment. Other genres include shooters like Metroid, role playing games (RPG) such as The Legend of Zelda series, and racing games, like the ultra-popular Mario Kart. There are also puzzle games, sports games, and simulators. Truly, there is something for everyone in the world of Nintendo Switch games.

Super Mario Odyssey was more than worth the wait and is another fine addition to the growing collection of quality Nintendo Switch exclusives. Savings are at a minimum here, but seeing as this game should amongst your most wanted, this bundle is a great place to start.

From the best Zelda ever to the best Mario Kart ever? Believe it! While it might just seem like a mere port on the surface, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe takes the excellent Wii U edition and patches its one big deficiency, all while adding the excellent DLC as standard – and then does more.

Also much like the Yoshi title, not too many details have been released for Kirby Star Allies quite yet. We know that the video game will have players taking the role of Kirby with the ability to throw stars at enemies to essentially turn them into Kirby’s allies. Outside of that, you can still expect the same traditional move set from past Kirby titles such as inhale, star spit, slide attack, air-gun, among others.

For these reasons, it may be worth waiting until the holiday season to pick up the Switch, since more games will be available and there’s a possibility retailers will offer bundle options on Black Friday. There are also unanswered questions about the Switch that Nintendo will likely clarify later this year, such as revealing more details about its new online service. Nintendo has also said that the virtual console, its digital shop for downloading retro games, will not be available on the Switch at launch.

Despite the swathes of changes to the Zelda template, Breath of the Wild still feels very much like a Zelda game. It’s more challenging than ever before, putting both your combat and puzzle-solving skills to the test, and every square inch of this ruined Hyrule aches to be explored. Take it from someone who’s played over 100 hours and still not finished it, there’s plenty to see and do in Breath of the Wild that makes this an absolutely essential purchase for every Switch owner.

Price: It is a factor to consider in almost every product including the Nintendo switch game. Well, a hugely priced Nintendo switch game may mean it has numerous features. However, this should not be a general notion, as most products do not reflect the real term of “you get what you pay for”. Try to go for a product that is neither too expensive nor too cheap.

A retro-styled action-platformer inspired by the Nintendo games of its makers’ childhood, Shovel Knight is nostalgia done right. It looks and feels authentic to the period that it reveres, but it’s creative with the source material. The result is a game that feels like a forgotten classic from the early 90s, rather than one of umpteen derivative retro knock-offs.

It’s a nice bonus, no doubt, but it’s unfortunate that you more or less have to buy a microSD card if you’re looking at downloading anything more than a few small games. The good news is that microSD cards are relatively inexpensive, even for large ones. You could get by with something in the range of 64GB, though we’d suggest at least 128GB to start.

bought this for myself and my for my kid, though my kid is using it almost all the time. It’s a great system when you can take it with you on the go if you want. The games are a lot more creative and interesting than those you would normally play on phones/tablets. As a dad, it really gives more time to play because of it’s portability. It would almost be impossible to sit down and be allowed to play continuously if you have a young family.

Look, Minecraft is Minecraft – and if you’ve already played Minecraft elsewhere, then you’re not going to find anything tremendously new here. But here’s the thing about Minecraft: it’s endlessly replayable and so packed with delight that it’s hard to resist the urge to have it at your fingertips at all times.

While Nintendo traditionally designs its flagship consoles just for at-home play, the Switch is meant to be portable as well. A tablet smaller than an iPad mini houses the system’s core technology, allowing you to take the Switch on the go or slide it into its accompanying dock for TV gaming.

Wow! I just got mine today and it was awesome! But it didnt have a Gtx 1080 which i thought by now would be consumer standard by now… Overall its a very nice console, would buy again if I had the money. I really loved Nintendo’s version of GTA V and Fallout 6

Playing very much like the original, Splatoon 2 takes what made its Wii U debut so much fun and turns it up to 11. The motion controls are still a little tricky to get used to, but the addition of the dual-wielded Splat Dulies (along with a set of new weapons, arenas and fashions) really helps keep it feeling fresh. The new co-op, wave-based Salmon Run is absolutely fantastic and the allure of being able to play absolutely anywhere makes Splatoon 2 a must-have.

Puyo Puyo Tetris combines the most iconic puzzler of all time with an adorable bubble puzzle game to create something entirely new and unique. Including a bizarre story mode, players can choose to play rounds of Puyo Puyo, Tetris, or fusions of the two.

This is another Switch accessory that won’t be useful for many gamers, but very effectively solves a very specific problem. Don’t prop up your Nintendo Switch against a vase or another unsuitable piece of furniture. This stand will put your Switch at just the right angle for long hours of undocked gameplay. It has lots of rubber pads, prongs, and other anti-slip features to ensure it’s held in place well.

From the best Zelda ever to the best Mario Kart ever? Believe it! While it might just seem like a mere port on the surface, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe takes the excellent Wii U edition and patches its one big deficiency, all while adding the excellent DLC as standard – and then does more.

Those waiting for a new instalment in Nintendo’s super-fast F-Zero series of racing games will find lots to like here. Developer Shin’en has a reputation for pushing Nintendo systems to their graphical limits; RMX offers silky-smooth futuristic racing at extremely high speeds. Its clever colour-shifting mechanic – you have to flip between two exhaust colours to trigger speed boosts – at times makes it feel like a racing version of cult shooter Ikaruga.

By far the best racing game ever, especially for kids, is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. Both kids and parents alike can enjoy the long-established series of Mario Kart, as the game is filled with classic tracks, characters and that familiar rush from previous iterations. Just make sure that no one gets too into it – it’s that fun.
